Our Pastor read a listing of the number of soldiers lost in each conflict, going back to the Revolution War. As he named each War, he asked if we lost a family member in that war to please stand. I'm so grateful that going back even to the Civil War, the only one lost was my Great Uncle Frank, My grandfather Corbets brother. He was in the Spanish American War. As a family we have been lucky. Just an intresting tidbit. Elise didn't know we had a relative in the Spanish American War. Thot mayber you didn't either.
As we enjoy our 3 day weekend, lets take a moment to remember those and their families who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms.
